Job Description
We are looking for a Query/Database Developer responsible for monitoring database efficiency; data flows, indexing and optimizing queries. Your primary focus will be creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted. A basic understanding of back-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

Responsibilities
- Assist in database design for an upcoming SQL upgrade project and ongoing optimization.
- Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions.
- Monitoring database efficiency; data flows, indexing and optimized queries.
- Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted.
- Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
- Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS3
- Proven track record of building, configuring and maintaining SQL servers & databases
- Understanding accessibility and security
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
- Data migration, transformation, and scripting
- Outputting data in different formats
- Excellent understanding of SQL and RDBMS
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver solutions against tight time scales
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
- Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment
- Must be proficient in MYSQL
- Must know how to normalize data
- Proficient in Laravel Homestead or at any PHP Framework
